By combining courses in health care management with other disciplines, such as marketing, computer management science, accounting and economics, the program gives students a strong foundation in management as it specifically relates to the health care industry.

Health managers are employed in a variety of facilities and organizations: hospitals, nursing homes, physician practices, health departments, educational institutions, health maintenance organizations, wellness programs, industrial health programs, the insurance industry, and governmental agencies at local, state and national levels.
