AH&LEF Hospitality Scholarship Opportunities
Don't think your GPA or financial need is high enough? Think again. A commitment to hospitality is all you need (plus a few minimum requirements), and with 10 scholarship programs available, there's sure to be at least one that's right for you.

Am I eligible?
AH&LEF offers a wide array of scholarship opportunities - available to incoming freshmen through graduate students. Some are earmarked specifically for current hotel employees and others for minorities. A few have minimum GPA requirements while others are open to full or part-time students. All require enrollment in a U.S. hospitality management degree program.
Is it worth my time?
More than half a million is budgeted in 2009 to award to a few hundred students. Scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000, and that money never needs to be paid back like a loan. It only takes a few minutes to apply. Wouldn't you say it's worth your time?
How will I be evaluated?
You are not judged on one factor alone. You'll be evaluated on academics, related-work experience, extracurricular activities, financial need, honors, and personal attributes.
If that's not enough, you get more.
Awardees of an AH&LEF scholarship receive a free student membership to the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA), planting you at the center of the industry with access to all the news, information, and events that the nation's leading hotel companies rely on.
AH&LEF continues its support even after you graduate.
You'll be eligible to join the Scholars Alumni Association (SAA), a close-knit group of scholarship awardees who act as vital connections down the road. Active SAA members can continue their free membership with AH&LA, valued at $500, as well as join AH&LA's Under 30 Gateway, to help build their hospitality careers.
So let's get started.
Apply online today at www.ahlef.org. Just remember, the application deadline is May 1!
