The Honors Council employs a flexible admissions policy to include
students who might not fit the traditional academic framework. The
Council selects applicants using a combination of the following criteria
that suggest academic success: high school performance, SAT or ACT test
scores, writing samples, and letters of recommendation.

The primary criterion for selection is evidence of sufficient personal
commitment and academic aptitude to do Honors-level work. Consequently,
any student - recent high school graduate, transfer, or nontraditional
- with demonstrated intellectual promise may apply.

After being accepted for admission to Metropolitan State College of
Denver, interested students are encouraged to speak with the director
of the Honors Program. They must then complete an Honors Program application
and undergo a personal interview with the director. Enrollment is limited,
so students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Application Forms can also be obtained online,
from the Application Page.
