K12 Physical Education

Students who want to be certified to teach physical education in a public school can choose coursework leading to an elementary, secondary, K-12, physical education licensure. Students seeking teaching credentials in physical education must satisfy the teacher licensure program requirements at Metropolitan State College of Denver, in addition to the content area requirements in the HPSL Department. Prospective teachers should contact the Teacher Education Center at 303-556-3691 or go to CN 101.

Post-Baccalaureate Program

Students who already possess a Bachelor's Degree in another discipline may enter our K-12 Post-Bacc program. Post-Bacc student's will be seeking licensure only. Please see program requirements by clicking here. Please contact Dr. Susan Bertelsen for more information.
