Human Services Generalist

The Human Services field is a broad and complex one. Rather than specializing in one particular area, the Generalist has knowledge of the field as a whole. The student is free to choose classes from the addictions, domestic violence, nonprofit administration, and high risk youth concentration areas. Coursework is also available in mental health, disability services, and holistic health. Human Services generalists work in a variety of settings, including mental health agencies, employee assistance programs, social service agencies, community health centers, and nonprofit agencies providing direct services to the community.
