If visuals on the document camera are not displayed correctly (appear as a negative), check if the negative (NEGA) mode is activated (light is on) on the DocuCam. In order to turn it off, you have to use the document camera controls. Therefore, “Lock Control Disabled” has to be turned off.
If visuals on the document camera are not displayed correctly (appear in black/white), check if the Black/White (B/W) mode is activated (light is on) on the DocuCam. In order to turn it off, you have to use the document camera controls. Therefore, “Lock Control Disabled” has to be turned off.
Make sure all cables in the back of the DocuCam are plugged in and the DocuCam is turned on. Power button is on the left side of the device.
If visuals on the document camera are not displayed by the projector, check if INPUT SELECT is activated. In order to turn INPUT SELECT off, you have to use the document camera controls. Therefore, “Lock Control Disabled” has to be turned off.
Try to use a different device like Cable TV. If the Cable TV is displaying correctly, go back to the Document Camera. It may display the visuals now. If it still doesn’t work, check the projector.
If the visuals are projected with interferences, make sure that no other device like VCR, DVD or laptop is still sending video signals to the projector. Eject VCR tapes and DVD discs and disconnect monitor cable of laptop.
Some classrooms, especially in the Plaza Building and King Center, may not have DocuCams installed. DocuCams are available for pickup at the Auraria Media Center. The DocuCams can be connected to the AUX or Video ports in the Smart Classroom. On the touch panel you need to select the AUX or Video option.
