Smart Classroom: General Trouble Shooting

Device was not turned on

If one of the devices is not working, check to make sure that it is on. If it is not on, turn it on. You must now restart the entire system. o to the Main Menu on the Touch Panel and shut down the system. You must wait for at least 60 seconds so that the system has time to re-sync itself. After 60 seconds, turn the system back on.

Eject media before shutting down system

It is a good idea to remove all CD’s, VHS tapes, DVD’s etc before shutting down the system.

Projection is distorted

Only one of the following devices can be used at one time:

• DVD
• VCR
• Laptop
• AUX (Video)

If more than one device is producing output at the same time, the video output will be distorted. DVD’s and video tapes must be stopped. Laptop’s monitor cable must be unplugged.

Touch panel doesn’t switch between devices

If the touch panel doesn’t switch between devices, make sure that nothing is blocking the infrared signals. If it still doesn’t work, switch between devices manually on switcher and notify Smart Classroom Coordinator.

Touch panel seems frozen

If the touch panel seems frozen and does not react to touching, make sure the buttons on the left and right side of the touch panel are not stuck. Stuck buttons block the touch panel and prevent it from receiving further input.
