Using “IFTP32” to FTP Files to Clem
The icon for IFTP32.exe is located in the “Internet Access” folder on the standard desktop Windows 2000 image. Using IFTP32 is an easier method of FTPing files than using the “command line” method which is like working with MS/DOS. Double click on this icon and configure it as shown in Picture (1). For the “Profile Name” use your first and last name or what ever you want to name the profile. In any field where you see “username” enter YOUR username. The password is YOUR clem password. Check on “Save Password” so you won’t have to enter the password each time if you want to. In the field for “Local PC” enter the path to your local website files on that PC. Click on “Save” to save the profile. Click on “OK” to connect. If you are off campus you will need to be online with your ISP for this to work or be connected to the clem server through “telnet”.
You will need to be logged into the clem server using telnet.
Once you get connected your screen should look similar to what you see in Picture (2).
Your local site is shown on the left and your remote site is shown on the right side.
To move a file from one site to the other, click on that file to high light it and then click on the arrow point toward the other side.

When naming files to be uploaded to the Unix (clem) server it is recommended that your file names have no spaces in them and that they have no uppercase characters. Instead of using a space between words use_an_underscore.
