E-mail Warning About Your Account

Virus Alert

We are receiving a significant number of calls regarding emails that went to users concerning their email accounts. These emails are not from MSCD. This is a new virus attack that started 3/3/04. MSCD is not sending these messages and you should delete any that get through. All ISPs are being attacked. This is caused by the w32.begle virus.

Subject lines include:

  • E-mail account disabling warning.
  • E-mail account security warning.
  • E-mail account utilization warning

There are indications that the level of viruses will continue to increase in the near future.

Do not open attachments in your email unless you know the origin of the email.
