Education:
After studying pedagogy at the Pädagogische Akademie in Wuppertal, Germany and majoring in French and English at the University of Bonn, Germany, Dr. Clay received a B.A. in German from the University of Denver and her M.A. and Ph.D. in German from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
Teaching and Research Interests:
In addition to teaching German language and culture courses, her interests include German grammar, translation techniques, international studies, business etiquette, and early German literature. Dr. Clay has published five books in the USA and Germany, dealing with grammar, Business German and business etiquette.
Professional Affiliations:
Active in the American Association of Teachers of German (AATG), the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and the Colorado Congress of Foreign Language Teachers (CCFLT), for which she serves as Editor of Peals.
