Incidents In the Life of a Slave Girl 2006
Justice Jackson

More drama than Aldous Huxley and his New Brave World
These are the incidents in the life of a Slave Girl
Not a funny sight
tried selling her body to get her money right
Coldhearted, twenty-five cents between her inner thighs
Nicknamed her Katwoman because she had at least nine
            lives
Used to be a shorty, man how time flies
No role models for her to look up
Only examples were the cats that taught her the art of drug
            cook-up
Muffins or whole cakes is all she bakes
She used to hit me with the Goodstuff in exchange for the latest
            mixxtape
Shorty was out of this world
These are just the Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl!

Verse two, and these Incidents ain’t all good
Shorty was loved as well as feared around the
            neighborhood
On the block looking for a soldier who won’t answer back
found him two days later three shots point-blank range
            through his Mets cap
Some said it was my Slave Chick
Heat is increasing snitches on the block droppin’ names
            quick
Cops got the block hot
Got a late nite page from Shorty, tellin’ me she wants to lay
low at my spot
Half of me thinking Why?
The other half thinking Why Not?
My Shorty harm I didn’t want her to come to
Text message back and told her come through
Last reply from my Slave girl was “I Love You!”
Shorty was out of this world
These are just the Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl.

Two hours later, two blunts had me passed out
Raise off the couch and go retrieve a Guiness Stout
Hit the Rasta for the Fonta leaf
The dough and the heat
Between my skin and my briefs
Cuz in these streets
You surely can’t be caught asleep
In the hood only dirt cover cats nappin’
Then before I knew what happened
The unmistakable sound of a Tech clappin’
A heavy dose
It sounded close
Made me feel glad that I had the forty-five Mag
Better that than to be found wrapped in a Glad Trash Bag
Copped a fifty Sack
Had to switch directions and double back
Madd time passing got me wondering where’s my Shorty at
Just then my stomach did a loop
Nothing but Badges, the Red and Blues crowded on my front stoop
Had to re-group
Fifteen shells found at the scene
Eight went through the driver’s side door of my Shorty’s
           brand new Lex Coupe
Damn! Shorty was out of this world
These are just the Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl!
