Where Success Begins With You
The transition into college can be an exciting, yet challenging endeavor. The purpose of orientation is to help students new to Metro State make this transition as smooth and stress-free as possible. Our goal is to answer all your questions, put your fears to rest, and get you started on the right foot. You will learn about academic advising and programs of study, financial aid, student activities, services for students on campus and much more. Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to meet fellow incoming students and current student leaders, and potentially make friendships that will last a lifetime.
In order to best serve you, we have several different types of orientation sessions for you to choose from. Our New Student Sessions are designed for traditional first-time-to-college students; our Transfer Student Sessions are designed for students with prior college experience; and our Adult Student Sessions are designed for nontraditional students 25 years of age and older. If you require special accommodations based on a disability, please call the orientation office in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
