Gary B. Sidder, Ph.D., CFP®
Mr. Sidder started with Metropolitan State College of Denver in the year 2000 and has been teaching the 10-week and FastTrack programs for the Investment Planning course. Currently he is also employed with Life Transition Planners, Inc. where he is the President, and Chief Investment Officer. There he specializes in portfolio analysis, asset allocation, and individual and family comprehensive financial planning. Mr. Sidder currently holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses with the NASD. He is also licensed for life and variable insurance products in Colorado. Prior to that he was with Chatfield Dean and Co. as a Registered Sales representative as part of an investment team.
From 1976 to 1996 Mr. Sidder worked as an economic geologist in research, teaching, and mineral exploration. He traveled and lived on three continents. Mr. Sidder was a graduate teacher at Oregon State University and the University of Oregon. He has published more than 25 papers in refereed journals. Presented more than 20 public talks ranging in length from 15 to 90 minutes to professional and lay audiences.
Gary B. Sidder achieved his Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from Colorado State University in 1976. He then went on to achieve his Masters in Economic Geology from the University of Oregon in 1981. In 1985, he achieved his Ph.D. in Economic Geology from Oregon State University. He is an Accredited Asset Management Specialist, and a Certified Financial Planner™.
Mr. Sidder is a co-author and co-editor of a new textbook for the Investment Planning course in CFP® Board-registered programs. The book is being published by Keir Publishing, Inc. in 2004.
