Program Mission
The mission of SSS is two-fold: to increase the retention and graduation rates of eligible students and to foster a supportive institutional climate.
Program Goals
To carry out the mission of our program we have set specific goals to:
- Serve 200 students each academic year;
- Ensure an environment that increases the potential for academic success and the likelihood of remaining in college through graduation;
- Offer consistent and reliable support and guidance and show genuine concern for the interests, well-being and accomplishments of each participant;
- Offer a comprehensive array of activities and services that encourage persistence in the goal to graduate;
- Monitor and assess academic progress; and
- Evaluate the program's performance.
