Senate Committees

There are currently three standing committees of the Senate, listed below, each with its own specific task. Click on the name of each committee to see a short description of its pupose.

Board Representative Advisory Committee

From Appendix A of the Policy Manual
6.01.6 The Senate hereby establishes the Board Representative Advisory Committee, with the following directives:

1. Meet regularly, year-round, with the SGA President, Student Trustee and SACAB Representatives.


2. Take official positions, as appropriate, on pending decisions of the College President’s Cabinet, Metro State Board of Trustees, the Auraria Board of Directors, and the Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board.


3. Request research to be conducted by the executive branch, as necessary to form such opinions.


4. Bring issues to the attention of the full Senate as it deems necessary and recommend action.
