Introduction

Enhancing the academic mission of Metropolitan State College of Denver in regard to space requires an oversight function that ensures equal and proper involvement of all areas of the College's infrastructure in the space decision-making process.

This function involves securing campus input on such issues as direction, establishing priorities, reviewing space decisions, and providing effective communication regarding planning and allocation. The process is designed to involve affected individuals, organizations, and interests in the planning and decision-making.

To exercise proper oversight in the planning, acquisition, and use of space, the President has authorized formation of a Space Planning, Allocation, and Resource Committee (SPARC). This committee, made up of representatives from various constituent groups, will make recommendations that the Vice President of Administration and Finance will present to the College Vice Presidents and/or President's Cabinet, as appropriate.
