Porras gets No. 40 as Metro sweeps

Winning two Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference games is a proud accomplishment, especially when one of those teams was No. 14-ranked Colorado State-Pueblo. But the real success story of the weekend starred senior midfielder Antonio Porras, who became the school’s top career goal scorer Sept. 15 when he scored two goals against CU-Colorado Springs.

Metro splits at home

Saying farewell to four-match tournaments, the Metro women’s volleyball team battled against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference opponents Chadron State on Sept. 15 and Nebraska-Kearney on Sept. 16 at the Auraria Events Center. It was hit-and-miss for the Roadrunners as they split the weekend matches.

Tolentino finishes sixth, 'Runners men come in third
Metro’s cross country team made the long haul to Lincoln, Neb., Sept. 16 to compete in the Woody Green Invitational, hosted by Nebraska-Wesleyan and the University of Nebraska.

Tennis men sweep weekend trio, women lose 3 of 4
Both the men’s and women’s teams swept Colorado Christian 9-0 on Sept. 15 at Auraria Field. Riley Meyer, Drew Maccholz, Mark Milner, David Scott, Ricky Stowell and Sean Carlton each notched wins in singles and doubles play.
