The Tutoring Center is a free service that is available to all Metropolitan State College of Denver students.  We provide tutoring for nearly all general 1000 level Metro classes, and many upper level classes as well. We are internationally certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), and tutor approximately 1500 students in over 6500 sessions per year. Each semester we hire new tutors in more classes and each semester we receive requests from students for more classes to offer tutoring in.

Administration

The Director of the Tutoring Center is Eric Dunker, who is also the Student Academic Success Coordinator for Metro State. Eric went to Bucknell University as an undergraduate and graduated with a BSBA in Management in 2002. He went on to Colorado State University and graduated with his Master’s of Science in Higher Education degree in May of 2005. He is currently attending the University of Denver part-time in the PhD program in Curriculum and Instruction. Eric also directed a Tutoring program at CSU and started at Metropolitan State College in September of 2005.

 Staff

    The tutoring Center has several staff members that are student/employees of Metro State. These Staff Members are here to assist you in finding a tutor, scheduling sessions, providing information about the Tutoring Center, and registering you with the tutoring center.

 Tutors

     The Tutors for the Tutoring Center are paid employees of Metro State.  Many of them are students themselves and pay ranges on level of education. 

We currently employ 60 tutors and staff.
