Response to Instruction (RTI) in Denver Public Schools -
Come join this informative session on the new Response to Instruction/Intervention (RtI) initiative in Denver Public Schools. Participants will learn about the research and legislation that lead up to the implementation of RtI in DPS. Participants will become familiar with the 6 components of an effective RtI model. The session will provide an in-depth look at the RtI problem-solving model through interactive student case studies.

At this workshop you will learn how to interview with DPS principals, the process for completing all required paperwork, as well as other "tips" to help you get your foot-in-the-door.

This interactive workshop allows students to enhance their classroom management skills. Attending students will have numerous opportunities to address specific areas of concern including the first day-of-school, grading policies, classroom culture, parent involvement, and the use of rewards and punishments.
