Our goal, as a campus-based women's center, is for Metropolitan State College of Denver students to have a positive, successful college experience. We strive to create a supportive, inclusive campus environment and community. **Focus Group Opportunity**
For survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault
If you have recently survived a domestic violence or sexual assault experience and may have sought support, then consider joining a focus group. This group is designed to gather feedback in regards to available and desired services for survivors.
The recently organized Coordinated Campus Response Team (CCRT) has asked Dr. Sheila Thompson, who works in the Academic Affairs office at Metro State, to facilitate these focus groups. Dr. Thompson has extensive experience with program evaluation and assessment and has agreed to serve as a neutral party for this project.
We expect there to be 5-6 participants in each focus group. A survivor advocate and a note-taker will also be present in the room. We want to know what kinds of resources you may have accessed on campus and how effective these resources were for supporting you as a survivor. We’re also interested in your feedback about these resources and if there are resources needed but are not presently available on campus. You will not be asked any specific questions about your particular incident/experience.
